Sinopsi
The morning walk of a chicken in the centre of a big city serves as thread for this triple exercise of popular customs and science fiction. Three short films in one with three different technics, from black & white minimalist till 3D animation. The three scenes tell three different forms of exist with half a century of difference between them. The technologic decadence and the extreme individualism change the landscape while the chicken, impassive, continues its walk.
This short film of Studio AKA, made Grant Orchard got the nomination to Oscar as best animation short film in 2011 and the BAFTA award in the same category and year. He won the short film section at Sitges Festival and a year later, he achieved the award of the official shot film section at international animation Sundance Festival.
Grant Orchard studied animation at University for the Creative Arts of south of England. Currently he lives and works in London in the AKA studio, where he got some awards for his work as an animator director, creative and designer. He is the author of animation English TV show for children “Hey Duggee”. His first creation was the feature film “Welcome to Glaringly, after that it came “Park Football” and the series “Lovesport. With an eclectic and untaggable style, Orchard is an animator professional that escapes of tags in every new project he does.
