First love experience is not difficult to forget. The Animals represent some real stories in a humoristic way, even if some of them are a bit dramatic. A short film based on real stories but with a surrealist and experimental approach.
The short film has won prizes as Lunafest Filmmaker in 2008 and the prize of the public at Amsterdam Film Experience Festival and at Standing Rock International Film Festival, both in 2008. Also the recognition of Youtube Short Film Awards in 2007.
Julia Pott is an illustrator and British animator settled in Los Angeles. She studied a master degree in Animation at Royal College of Art and her short films were screened at festivals as Sundance and SXSW. She got one of the 25 New Faces and an Indie Film Breakout for “Indiewire”. She is one of the ADC Young Gun and also won the professional prize of YCN. She has work for some companies as Bat for Lashes, Hermes, J. Crew, Madewell, Oreo, Rachel Antonoff or Toyota. Currently she is working on a short film with Cartoon Network.
