Péter Vácz (2010)
Sinopsi
A young girl travels from a small stream to the sea. It’s a metaphor of what growing up means. This short film it has been inspired in a Hungarian poem.
Péter Vácz is an awarded animation director of Budapest, Hungary, born in 1988. He graduated at Mômes, University of Art and Design of Moholy-Nagy with his films “Streamschool” and “Rabbit and Deer” that have earned him worldwide recognition and more than 125 awards in international festivals as Annecy, Cannes, Nashville o Atlanta.
During his studies, he was part of the ASF, The European Film Production Workshop 2009 and he also did the 3D Animation course in Viborg, Denmark.
Later on, in France, he founded the vanguardist movie group Caravel Collective, where he did experimental movies. Since 2013, Vácz, is part of Picasso Pictures, settled in London, where he did two musical awarded videos for the famous group band James.
His action short film “Pillowface” obtained the international award at Varsovia movie festival in 2018. “Noah’s Tree” is his last Project he is working on and his most ambitious one.
Apart from his creativity, Vácz also teaches animation theory and he does master classes and presentations around the world.
