Sinopsi

The retro video games and its pixelated characters, invade the Earth. The real world faces the virtual world that homogenizes it all. At the end the world is not going to be much more than a cubic pixel. So back are left the curves and unexpected shapes.

After years working as a designer for the French TV, Patrick Jean directed his first short film in 2010. Pixel was awarded more than 30 times.
The vocation of this French animator started in the 80’s, when he programed his own games in a Amstrad CPC 464. Having a strong interest for video games, he got to be accepted at Supinfocom school, one of the best animation schools in Europe. After this, he started working in some special effects companies as an artist and vfx supervisor until he got a blockbuster thanks to the adaptation of his short film “Pixels”. He also directs ads for brands as Eurostar, Fendi, Audi, Hermès and music videos for artist as Boys Noize.
In most of his films, the digital world gets into the realty and animated creatures get alive. In addition, he usually composes the music for his short films.
