Un jour
Marie Paccou (1998)
Sinopsi
Starting from the confusion of the filmmaker’s childhood about the topic of sex. This short film talks about emotional tale of a woman who one day wakes up with a man in the middle of her abdomen and with whom she has to live inevitably. A metaphor about the multiple readings of a relationship.
Born in 1974 in Dakar, Marie Paccou was 15 years old when she discovered animation at a small festival near Montpellier. As a student at ENSAD (Paris), he directed his first short film, “Un Jour”, which won awards around the world, including the European Short Film Academy Award in 1998. He graduated at RCA in London in 2000, where he directed “You are asleep and I, the other”. Since then, he has been settled in Auvergne, near Clermont-Ferrand, where he has directed two short films “Le jardin” and “Hubert, l’homme aux chocolates”. She worked at the opening of an animation school in Cournon and started a small film festival in his village through the Maison aux Mille Images. After writing a short film with Hélène Marchal, abandoned due to the bankruptcy of Les Trois Ours, she focuses his work on short and experimental projects.
