Sinopsi

Billy Collins, one of the most successful and best-selling poets in the United States, reads his poem “The Dead”, which is animated by Juan Delcan. The dead look at us in the most daily gestures. They observe us even when we close our eyes.

Juan Delcan was born in Madrid, she studied architecture and fine arts and started her career as a graphic designer and illustrator, but with her participation at Opera Soft, she explored the design of some video games that became cult. In the middle 90’s, she moved to the United Estates and directed Pittard Sullivan, Lee Hunt Associates (NY), V-12, Spontaneous, Nola Pictures Sullivan and Click 3X. Her illustrations called the attention of Bono, who ordered her the backstage animation of Vertigo Tour of U2.
Thanks to that she did animation projects for The Fashion Designers Council of America, De Beers, MAC Cosmetics, Sundance, Barnes & Noble and SpikeTV. Her documental, “AfriCOBRA” is an interesting historic tribute to artist collective of Chicago that created images to affirm the Afro-American community.
Juan also was responsible of the scenography for the presentation of the Grammys of U2.
